The Penguins may be just a few days away from having every player on the NHL roster healthy and ready to play.
Carter Rowney, the Penguins’ lone injured player going into Game 2 against the Flyers on Friday, was on the ice in a white no-contact jersey for the team’s morning skate. Rowney has been out with an upper-body injury since March 15 and has spent the last several weeks skating on his own with Penguins skills coach Ty Hennes.
“He’s progressing,” Mike Sullivan said. “His next step will be to participate in a full practice. The fact that he’s out there with the guys is significant progress.
