It’s safe to assume Capitals winger T.J. Oshie doesn’t agree with losing teammate Tom Wilson for three games because of what the NHL Department of Player on Wednesday determined to be an illegal check to Zach Aston-Reese’s head during Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals Tuesday.
“I think it’s pretty extreme,” Oshie said Thursday following Washington’s morning skate at PPG Paints Arena before Game 4. “I think it’s very extreme actually.”
While several of his teammates declined to delve too deeply into Wilson’s suspension — “I’m sure everybody in here has their opinion,” former Penguin Brooks Orpik said.
