Analysis: Sidney Crosby throws a water bottle on the ice

Playoff hockey, invariably, has sequences where it seems like everything is happening. We got one of those in the second period on Thursday night.

The Predators changed goalies, swapping out Pekka Rinne for Juuse Saros. The Penguins scored twice more on Saros. And Sidney Crosby, whether deliberately or in defiance of physics, had a water bottle fly out of his hands onto the ice in the middle of a shift. The Penguins were up 5-0 at the time, and Predators defenseman Roman Josi was in the vicinity.

In a vacuum, it wasn’t clear whether it was him.
