TAMPA, Fla. — The status of Penguins right winger Patric Hornqvist remains unclear after he appeared to injure his left hand during Game 3 of the Eastern Conference final.
Hornqvist blocked a wrister by Lightning center Alex Killorn with 7:08 remaining in regulation and did not record a shift in the final 7:02.
Mike Sullivan provided a minimal update on his health but seemed optimistic regarding his availability for Game 4 Friday.
“He's being evaluated today,” Sullivan said. “He obviously blocked a shot late in the game. We think he's making progress. We'll see how he is [Friday], but I don't envision it being an issue.
