It’s certainly not imminent, and Cullen has not requested a trade from his current team, the Minnesota Wild. But Minnesota isn’t currently in the playoff picture and sits six points back of third place in a very good Central Division.
They looked awful in Pittsburgh, have had bouts injuries and inconsistent play and could easily not have the oomph to make a serious move — especially with five teams plus Chicago vying for the final two playoff spots in the Western Conference.
