Former Pitt tight end Tyler Sear parted ways with the team last Wednesday under somewhat mysterious circumstances, and at the time, it was unclear if he would return. However, on Tuesday, he provided an update, noting in a message posted on Twitter that he will officially be transferring out of the program to continue his collegiate football career elsewhere.
“I would like to take this time to thank Coach Narduzzi and staff for giving me the opportunity to attend and play for this prestigious university,” Sear said. “With that being said, after taking a leave of absence to focus on my mental health, I have decided to pursue a fresh start and transfer.
