University of Pittsburgh wide receiver Tyler Boyd waived his right to a preliminary hearing this morning on charges that he drove under the influence in Jefferson Hills earlier this month.
The reason? The fact that the preliminary date was so close to training camp appears to be part of it, as mentioned by the Trib:
