Pitt wide receiver Tyler Boyd sometimes takes a small backstage seat to star running back James Conner, who had a monster year last season, dominating headlines. But on Monday, Boyd received an honor that Conner didn't when he was named to ESPN.com's All-American First Team.
Boyd had a huge second half of the season and is one of the top returning wideouts in the country. Conner could be a first team candidate as well, but had more competition with returning stars Nick Chubb (Georgia) and Ezekiel Elliott (Ohio State).
Joining Boyd on the first team was Colorado State wide receiver Rashard Higgins (1750 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2014).
