Ten games in, Pitt’s basketball showing improvement

Newsflash: The Pitt men’s basketball team isn’t very good. With an almost entirely new team consisting primarily of players that had never played D-I basketball, that was to be expected. The Panthers currently sit at 5-5 when in most seasons, you’d expect them to be 9-1 or, at worst, 8-2. If there was any doubt that this year is a total rebuild, there isn’t any more.

But if there’s one thing to be said for the team, it’s that things are showing signs of getting better. That’s evident from what we saw early in the year.

Pitt began its season with a 71-62 loss to Navy.
