Pitt women’s soccer kicks off season with 2-1 win over Ohio

The Pitt women’s soccer team got its season started on the right foot with a 2-1 win over Ohio on a rainy Friday night at Ambrose Urbanic Field. The matchup marked Pitt head coach Randy Waldrum’s debut with the team, and the win was the 400th of his career.

”Anytime you get a win, you’re excited about it,” Waldrum said after the game. “Obviously, we have a long way to go and a lot of work to do. I think that we can certainly perform a lot better, but I think that the one thing we are happy about in trying to change the culture here is that the girls found a way to fight back after going down to get the win.
