Pitt wide receiver Will Gipson announced his intention to enter the transfer portal on Tuesday. The former Aliquippa standout joined the team in 2019 but redshirted as a freshman and did not take the field in 2020.
“Firstly, I would like to thank the University of Pittsburgh as a whole for the great opportunity to learn and compete at their school,” Gipson said in a message posted on Twitter. “I would also like to thank [Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi] and his staff for a once in a lifetime experience. But I will be entering the transfer portal with four years of eligibility left.
