Pitt Football Training Camp: Jordan Whitehead still a candidate for boundary safety starting job

Ever since joining the team, true freshman Jordan Whitehead has been making his presence felt. Last week, it was said that he could receive quality reps as soon as the team's opener against Youngstown State. That may not be all, however - it sounds as if Whitehead could in fact land the starting job at boundary safety.

Right now, he's in a competition with Pat Amara and Jevonte Pitts. This week, Narduzzi said the job hasn't been won yet, calling it 'up in the air.'

The Post-Gazette's Sam Werner says Whitehead isn't exactly a third wheel, either.
