Pitt Blue-Gold Game date changed due to Covid practice interruption

The annual Pitt Blue-Gold spring football game is still on but will be pushed back a week. Originally scheduled for April 17, the game is now set for April 24.

Covid is the apparent reason for the change from the original schedule. The formal announcement released by Pitt on Tuesday noted the recent week-long pause in football team practices due to ‘Covid-related protocols.’ Head coach Pat Narduzzi stated in the brief press release that delaying the game was in the best interest of the program.

The Blue-Gold game will be free of charge and held at Heinz Field.
