Pitt baseball wins opener over Niagara, 19-10

Even though it's winter around these parts with snow on the ground, Pitt's baseball team opened its season on Friday in Vero Beach, FL. The Panthers were victorious, picking up a 19-10 win with the offense having a big day.

Three Panthers hit home runs in the rout and five had at least two RBI. Catcher Alex Kowalczyk and second baseman David Yanni both led the way with a homer and four RBI each.

While the offense had a huge game, the pitching showed there's some work to be done. Starter Collin Liberatore struck out eight batters in only five innings, but also allowed four earned runs.
