Well, well, well, Pitt has a team perhaps, mainly because they seem to have an excellent defense. Some thoughts:
1. Defense, defense, defense. Wow. Virginia Tech isn't an offensive juggernaut, but Pitt held them to 100 total yards and had seven sacks. Just unreal.
2. Juan Price was the player of the game and was an absolute demon on the pass rush. I keep forgetting that he could get a sixth year of eligibility next year. He's finally healthy, and if he stays healthy, and returns next year, Pitt's defensive ends will be ridiculous.
3. The offense was not great, and there's a lot of criticism for Jim Chaney, but the truth is, outside of Tyler Boyd, the Panthers really don't have an exceptional skill player.
