The No. 3 Pitt men’s soccer team hosted Notre Dame at Ambrose Urbanic Field on Saturday night for the third and final matchup between the two teams this season, and the Panthers came up with a crucial 2-0 win over the Fighting Irish to complete the season sweep and take the lead in the ACC Coastal Division.
The matchup got off to a slow start, as the two teams recorded just two shots apiece 25 minutes into the game. However, the night was not short on drama, as one of those shots came off the foot of Pitt star Valentin Noel and ricocheted off the left post of the Irish goal.
