Dom Reiter named Gatorade Player of the Year

Pitt freshman Dom Reiter, a forward on the men’s soccer team, earned top in-state honors on Tuesday for his efforts at Quaker Valley High School in 2019, as he was named the Gatorade Player of the Year in Pennsylvania.

Last season, Reiter led Quaker Valley to a 24-2 record and a Class 2A state championship by contributing a total of 55 goals and 24 assists. The standout campaign capped off a high school career in which Reiter scored 85 goals and 53 assists for the Quakers.

“It feels great to win this award, and I am thankful for the coaches and teammates who made this possible,” Reiter said in a release.
