Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi tweeted somewhat cryptically about Wendy’s french fries over the weekend, and taken at face value, one might assume that the coach had a genuine affinity for the fries that he could no longer keep to himself. However, as it turns out, the tweet was no more a coincidence than the photo Narduzzi posted of Devonshire Street in Oakland back in January.
The online shoutout stemmed from Narduzzi’s efforts to recruit Dayon Hayes, a standout defensive end at Westinghouse High School in Pittsburgh who also happens to work at Wendy’s, according to Mike Vukovcan of Pittsburgh Sports Now.
