Brad Wanamaker steps up in Celtics' regular-season finale

Former Pitt standout Brad Wanamaker put on the best performance of his NBA career on Tuesday night, as he accounted for 17 points, six rebounds and a team-high seven assists in the Boston Celtics’ 116-110 win over the Washington Wizards.

Wanamaker’s 17 points were a personal best since his transition to the NBA from the EuroLeague, and his contributions proved instrumental in the Celtics’ effort to secure a come-from-behind victory in their regular-season finale. In the game, the 29-year-old rookie topped his previous NBA career high of 13 points, which he set on Jan. 14 in a 109-102 loss to the Brooklyn Nets.
