Last December, Pitt got a commitment from Jalen Hood-Schifino, then a five-star point guard in the 2022 class at Combine Academy in Charlotte, North Carolina. Since then, the blue-chip recruit has dropped to a four-star rating and transferred to Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida, and on Monday afternoon, Hood-Schifino announced that he would be decommitting from Pitt.
“Pitt will always be at the top of my list, but it might not be a bad idea to look at different options,” Hood-Schifino told Corey Evans of Rivals in an interview on Monday. “I kind of want to experience the whole process.
