Make plays, get paid. It’s a pretty simple formula in any sport and former Pitt receiver Tyler Boyd is the latest beneficiary of that.
Boyd recently signed a new four-year contract extension with the Cincinnati Bengals worth a reported $43 million. The $11.3 million he’ll make next season is a significant upgrade over the $1.03 million he was set to make as part of his rookie contract. The new deal keeps his rights with Cincinnati through 2023.
Boyd did plenty last year to deserve that money. After two relatively low key seasons, he had a big year last season, catching 76 passes for 1,028 yards and seven touchdowns.
