Ricky Rubio is one of the names floating around that the Phoenix Suns should pursue this summer, but would the unrestricted free agent point guard be interested in team even though it fired Igor Kokoskov?
Rubio grew close to Kokoskov when the coach was an assistant at Utah. Kokoskov worked directly with the point guards and played a part in Rubio’s recent development.
Rubio even said Kokoskov was the first "friend" he had who was a head coach.
