LaMarcus Aldridge saying Phoenix was "neck and neck" with San Antonio in landing him in the summer of 2015 didn't make the Suns feel any better, but they at least knew he seriously considered them.
“They made a strong case,” he said that 2015-16 season. “They knew who I wanted to play with and some things I valued and they made those things happen. I couldn’t not take them seriously because they did everything that I was asking at the time."
Six seasons later, Aldridge's name is once again connected to the Suns as San Antonio hopes to trade him before the March 25 deadline.
