Not only has Yuta Watanabe enjoyed having a big role on the Phoenix Suns so far this season, his parents came from Japan to watch his first few games. They were also at practice today.
“It means a lot to me,” Watanabe said. “Just flying from Japan, that’s a long flight. And they’re getting older, I know it’s tough, but still came to see me play. I’m just seeing them smiling and being happy, that makes me really happy. So, I just want to make them proud by me playing good games.”
Watanabe has been playing pretty well on the court in front of them for the 2-1 Suns.
