In a key Emirates NBA Cup matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves Friday night, Phoenix Suns guard Collin Gillespie was the hero.
With All-Star Devin Booker and Dillon Brooks both fouled out, Phoenix needed someone to step up down by one late in the game after Minnesota star Anthony Edwards missed two crucial free throws.
Gillespie was up to the task.

Driving into the chest of Minnesota guard Donte DiVincenzo, Gillespie got to the painted area, pulled up and sunk a short jumper with six seconds remaining to give Phoenix the lead.
