I recently wrote a piece on some potential Phoenix Suns stop gap point guards, similar to the bridge quarterback in football – proven veterans that would immediately step in and help while paving the way for one of the young guys to step up into the role when ready.
Lou Williams was going to be included in that piece. But, to me, it makes too much sense and my respect and appreciation for him led me to write this separate piece.
He just signed a three year $21 million contract extension which, despite age, is a great deal for a player of his caliber.
