The Phoenix Suns are still fighting for playoff positioning, just as the Minnesota Timberwolves, Denver Nuggets, and Oklahoma City Thunder at the top of the Western Conference are tussling out for the top seed. While the Suns are working to avoid the Play-In tournament, they should hope to avoid playing the Denver Nuggets in the first round.
It’s not that they can’t beat Denver; Phoenix has shown in the playoffs and this year’s regular season that they can match up with them. Any team with plans to knock off the Nuggets must be playing their best basketball when they play them.
