Suns' TJ Warren could play pickup, but was never 'mentally and physically' ready to return

TJ Warren hates he missed his “brother for life” Jamal Crawford’s historic night Tuesday at Dallas.

“I wish I had been there for his 50-point game,” Warren said of Crawford who became the oldest player to reach the half century mark as he scored 51 against the Mavericks. “I wish I could’ve been on the court.”

The Phoenix Suns probably wish Warren could have played in that game — and many more.

Warren missed the team’s final 33 games with what Phoenix called right ankle soreness, but Warren reiterated Wednesday the injury was a bruise, which can take up to two to three months to heal.
