Suns shake up lineup, start Booker and Warren

SALT LAKE CITY – The way the Suns have been going this season, it seemed they would need to play drastically different to become a playoff team.

A drastic starting lineup change was made Monday night in hopes of getting there.

Rookie guard Devin Booker and second-year forward T.J. Warren were moved into the starting lineup for Monday night’s game in place of Suns guard Brandon Knight, signed to a five-year, $70 million contract in July, and P.J. Tucker, primarily a Suns starter for a third season.

The new Suns starting lineup was announced after Suns coach Jeff Hornacek’s pregame conference, but the changes at the wings apparently turns Knight into a scoring sixth man while Tucker resumes his original role as a bench energizer and stopper.
