INDIANAPOLIS – Jared Dudley knew the score.
About 31 hours before the Western Conference All-Star reserves were announced Tuesday, Dudley was sure that Suns guard Devin Booker wouldn’t hear his name called.
Not because of anything Booker has done. Because of what the Suns haven’t done.
Win.
“I don’t think Book is going to get a spot,” Dudley said. “I think he deserves it but I always believe in this league you should be rewarded for winning.”
Dudley’s prophecy came true when coaches selected Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook, Portland’s Damian Lillard, Minnesota’s Jimmy Butler and Golden State’s Klay Thompson to be the backcourt reserves in the Western Conference.
