Suns GM James Jones: Players advised to stay home, sleep, avoid 'external contact' during NBA shutdown

Phoenix Suns general manager James Jones declined to comment Friday on whether the team's players have been tested for coronavirus two days after the NBA suspended play, when it was revealed Utah Jazz all-star Rudy Gobert tested positive for COVID-19.

A second Jazz player, all-star Donovan Mitchell, has also tested positive for the coronavirus.

“I’m not going into individual player testing,” said Jones, when asked if the Suns players have been tested for the virus, which has been deemed pandemic by the World Health Organization. “We’ve talked about it and that’s not something for me to talk about when a guy is testing.
