Suns down Hawks on Goodwin 3 in final seconds

The view from the driver’s seat was so much clearer for the Suns.

The Suns have been like a Slinky for the past few weeks, always playing catch-up, as they lost 15 times in 16 games for the first time in 39 years.

On Saturday night, the Suns never trailed except for 28 seconds of the first quarter. They did not cruise, getting loose at the wheel with a 15-point lead but Archie Goodwin pulled the team into the winner’s circle with a last-second 3-point shot for a 98-95 victory at Talking Stick Resort Arena.

The Suns’ star of the night had 13 points.
