On the NBA countdown back on Wednesday before Durant made his NBA debut with the Suns, Stephen A. Smith was asked a question about whether he believes the Suns are the best team in the Western Conference. His answer may make some Suns fans a little mad.
“No. Not yet I’m not going to disrespect the Denver Nuggets by saying that. Eventually, they could be but you ain’t going to come out of the gate looking better than the Denver Nuggets.”
Since this comment, the Suns are 2-0 in Durant’s first two games playing with the team and Devin Booker is averaging 36 points per game.
