The Phoenix Suns may be a player or two away from being a playoff team, but finding the right fit isn’t as easy as plugging in one and parting ways with another.
Speculative trade proposals are a given. Pursuing free agents is too, but Phoenix may just stand pat under Monty Williams after having nine new players to start his first year as head coach.
That goes against “if you’re not changing, you’re not trying to improve” theory, but that 8-0 bubble run probably has Phoenix further believing in what it is and has. The Suns had so many injuries last season that management could be wondering what their potential is if relatively healthy for a season.
