Rookie Anthony Edwards, Karl-Anthony Towns combine for 83 points as Timberwolves stun Suns

Phoenix has guarded against this all season, yet it continues to happen.

One of the NBA's best teams, the Suns once again lost to one of the worst.

This time, the worst.

Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards combined for 83 points in leading the lowly Timberwolves (10-32) to a 123-119 stunner Thursday night at Phoenix Suns Arena.

"This should be printed, they kicked our butts," Suns coach Monty Williams said.

Edwards, the top overall pick in the 2020 draft, went for a career-high 42 points while Towns dropped 41 on the Suns, who led by as many as 15 in the second half.
