As the Phoenix Suns begin the interview process for their next head coach, we finally have some clarity on what candidates will be sitting down with owner Mat Ishbia and General Manager James Jones.
Adrian Wojnarowski and Shams Charania have both reported that Doc Rivers, Jordi Fernández, Kevin Young, and Nick Nurse are the remaining candidates for the job. Shams additionally had Frank Vogel penned as a finalist.
This is a mix of veteran coaches and newcomers who also bring some variety in terms of their philosophies.
The Suns should look to find someone who excelled in all of the ways that previous coach Monty Williams failed, namely defensive adjustments over the course of a playoff series, and player development.
