Phoenix Suns won't play in foreseeable future as NBA suspends play amid coronavirus pandemic

Phoenix Suns coach Monty Williams found himself thinking more about those who have been affected by the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, than anything else Sunday afternoon.

“I saw the stats today 100,000 people around the world are affected by it, maybe more because people may not know they have it,” Williams said before Phoenix defeated Milwaukee at Talking Stick Resort Arena. “I just want everybody to be safe.”

Three days late, the NBA has suspended play as Utah Jazz all-star center Rudy Gobert tested positive for COVID-19, which led Utah’s game at Oklahoma City being cancelled right before tip.
