It was only a matter of time, but the Phoenix Suns made the date official Monday morning when they announced that Steve Nash will be inducted into the Suns Ring of Honor on Oct. 30 for the team’s second home game of the 2015-16 season.
A two-time MVP and six-time NBA All-Star during his 10 years with the Suns, Nash will receive the team’s highest honor during halftime of Phoenix’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers, two days after their home opener against the Dallas Mavericks. Nash was originally drafted by the Suns with the 15th overall pick in 1996 and was with the team for two years before being traded to the Mavs.
