Phoenix Suns: Revisiting back-to-back home wins, ahead to final matchup vs. Kings

Phoenix Suns have had their share of close games of late.

They've won far more than lost, but the Suns always expect to play better next game.

"Once we lose or not do what we normally do, I feel sorry for the next team that we play because it's always like that," Suns center Deandre Ayton said.

The Suns once again struggled to close out a game in their 126-120 victory Monday night over Houston, in which they nearly squandered a 24-point lead against a team with the NBA's second-worst record.

The next night, they limited Miami, a playoff contender in the Eastern Conference, to 86 points in a 20-point win in the second of home back-to-back at the midway point of a five-game homestand.
