Earl Watson is now a college graduate.

The former Phoenix Suns head coach who played 13 NBA seasons after starring at UCLA returned there and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in history.

Watson tweeted a picture of the degree as he indicated recently receiving it in the mail. The tweet was in part a reaction to the Bruins’ football team dropping to 0-2 after losing, 23-14, to San Diego State on Saturday.

Back in April, the 40-year-old Watson told the Los Angeles Times he wanted to complete his college education to show his children he could “bounce back” from adversity.
