Coby White’s reaction to North Carolina teammate Cameron Johnson winding up a lottery pick like him was entertaining – and genuine.
“He went what?” White perked up at the podium talking with the media after Chicago took him seventh overall. “Cam Johnson went 11th?”
Must have surprised to the NBA too because Johnson wasn’t one of the 23 players invited to New York for Thursday night’s draft in Brooklyn.
“Wow. Wow,” White repeated. “WOW bro. That’s crazy. That’s so love, bro. If ya’ll know Cam. Ya’ll don’t know how hard Cam work. It’s a lot of people that doubt him, but wow, I’m just, bro, that’s crazy bro.
