Deandre Ayton was left nearly speechless talking about the fans after Sunday's Game 1 win over the defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers.
"That was a concert," Ayton said. "That was a concert."
Diehard Suns fan Veronica Philpot of Phoenix was right in the middle of that concert enjoying every second of it.
"OMG, where do I start," Philpot said. "Everyone was so worried we'd be overrun with Laker fans but us Suns fans showed up. Listening to the boos during the starting lineups and the constant 'BEAT L-A!' chants gave me chills. Honestly, the only time I heard Lakers fans was when (LeBron James) made a free throw.
