After nearly every practice this season, the Suns have played shooting games. They’ll move around the floor, taking shots from beyond the 3-point line.
But the best shooter in the building doesn’t take part.
“I’m not a player anymore,” Suns Vice President of Basketball Operations James Jones said. “I can’t teach these guys how to shoot. I’m a has-been, man.”
Hardly.
Jones is just one year removed from a 14-year NBA career that included three NBA championships, two with the Miami Heat, one with the Cleveland Cavaliers and all with his good friend, LeBron James.
