Phoenix- The Phoenix Suns have selected shooting guard Devin Booker out of University of Kentucky with the 13th overall selection of the first round in the NBA Draft.
Booker averaged 10 points per game on 47% field goal shooting during his freshman season at Kentucky. The 6-foot-6 guard earned Second Team All-SEC and SEC Sixth Man of the Year as a Freshman for the Wildcats.
The soon to be 19-year-old is an elite shooter with NBA range and has good size for the wing position. He is a very intelligent player on both ends of the floor and fits a need for a Suns team that was near the bottom of the league in 3-point shooting last year.
