Phoenix Suns: Crawford and Chandler shouldn’t be playing

The Phoenix Suns seem to have a problem with mistaking old, washed up players in their late 30s for useful veterans. Trevor Ariza is a guy still in his prime whose shooting, defense, and experience are all helpful to the Suns. Jamal Crawford and Tyson Chandler are players who are long past their primes that are constantly exploited by opposing teams.

Plus-minus isn’t always a very telling stat. It needs the context of the entire game to be properly understood. But Crawford and Chandler’s were telling tonight. Usually, when a team gets blown out, you’d expect whoever played the most minutes to have the worst plus-minus.
