Phoenix Suns climb mountain, can't overcome huge deficit in loss at Los Angeles Lakers

LOS ANGELES -- Phoenix nearly came back from a 36-point deficit, but fell to the Los Angeles Lakers to finish 2-2 on its four-game road trip.

Devin Booker scored a game-high 32 points and Kelly Oubre Jr. added 26 as the Suns (13-21) got within seven in the fourth quarter, but LeBron James answered with five points to stem off Phoenix.

James finished with a triple-double of 31 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists while Anthony Davis added 26 points and 11 rebounds for the Lakers (27-7).

Deandre Ayton posted a double-double of 16 points and 14 rebounds in his second game back from an ankle injury.
