The Phoenix Suns made a mega trade to add all-star veteran point guard Chris Paul and drafted versatile Maryland big Jalen Smith, but their shortened offseason is far from done.
The Suns will be navigating through free agency heading into a 2020-21 season scheduled to begin on Dec. 22. Negotiations can begin on Friday with signings starting on Sunday.
"There are a few guys out there that are what we call 'Suns fits' and if we do our job, we'll add them and they'll fit in seamlessly and we'll be ready," Suns General Manager James Jones said in a Zoom media interview after Wednesday night's draft.
