Warriors forward Draymond Green was ejected for the first time this season and the 31st time of his career on Monday against Phoenix, according to Anthony Slater of ESPN.
As Slater details, Green was knocked to the ground while defending Suns center Khaman Maluach, then bounced up and fouled Maluach on a layup attempt, tossing him to the floor and earning a technical foul. Dillon Brooks came over to defend his Suns teammate and confront Green, and the two veteran forwards grabbed at each other’s jerseys, resulting in double technicals and an automatic ejection for the former Defensive Player of the Year (Twitter video link).
