Terry Rozier agreeing a three-year, $58-million deal with the Charlotte Hornets as part of a sign-and-trade with the Boston Celtics this summer certainly turned some heads.

Rozier, 25, was primarily a backup for most of his four-year NBA career, with the exception of the 2018 playoffs when he started in place of an injured Kyrie Irving.

In Charlotte, Rozier will essentially replace All-Star point guard Kemba Walker, who landed a four-year, max deal worth $141 million with the Celtics as part of the sign-and-trade.

But before all that went down, Phoenix was in hot pursuit of Rozier before ending up with Ricky Rubio.
