Phoenix Suns forward Josh Jackson was fined $20,000 for violating of team rules after he failed to show up to a scheduled meet and greet with fans on Wednesday night.
In explanation on Friday, he told media he had to deal with a family matter and rush over to his mom’s place right when it was supposed to start.
“I really wish I could’ve been there but I couldn’t,” Jackson said. “I don’t think somebody is going to schedule something and just not show up. So if I could’ve been there I really would have.
